and able to
produce superior products to
meet the customer needs. We have

headed by Mr. Rawat and Dr.
Vinay K.R where the company is
in process of developing new
hybrids of mustard and wheat.
The R & D team consists of
qualified and trained breeders

Crop Genetics Research Work
The laboratory also performs crop
genetics research work. “Crop genetics
has a very wide horizon but to sum it up
it is just like taking best features of
all the available varieties and then by
performing their cross and conducting
various grow out test, we make a variety
that suits best to farmers.”
He adds, “The production, processing and
packaging of seeds are done as per
stringent quality assurance norms. In
today’s complex and competitive
agricultural environment, superior
research is essential to achieving crop
improvements. Using both time-tested
approaches and modern technologies, we
provide our customers with premiere
agricultural products.”
The seed produced by the trusted farmers
is brought by the company and processed
and conditioned at the company’s own
processing plant in Agra. |

Advantages of Hybrid Seeds
Hybrid seeds are the cross of two
varieties of seed depending upon the
requirement of farmers. “The recently
developed hybrids have provided high
yields and better resistance to pests,”
avers Mr. Agrawal.
Seed Production Process
“In producing of seeds we provide male
and female seeds to farmers and then we
require fields where we have at least
300m isolation so as to avoid cross
pollination. Then we also have to look
for off type plants in fields, through
rouging method,” says Mr. Agrawal. The
male and female seeds are developed in
Aruti’s research lab which is provided
to the farmers.
Future Plans
When asked about the company’s future
plans, Mr. Agrawal says, “We are in
process of developing better hybrids
especially for wheat which will bring
another green revolution in our
country.”
Mr. Agrawal is an M .B.A. from U.P. Tech
University Lucknow. “Being born in an
agricultural trading family since my
child hood, I had passion for
agriculture, farming techniques and
seeds. I do not have any technical
qualification in the field of
agriculture. It is only my experience of
last 20 years,” he avers.
